SoFFt Productions were delighted to production manage a special staging of The Tightrope Walker by acclaimed artist, writer, performer and facilitator Jenny Macdonald. Working alongside a talented creative team, SoFFt Productions oversaw the coordination and delivery of performances at both St James's Hospital and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, helping bring this intimate and moving work to audiences in unique and meaningful settings.

Set in an imagined hospital waiting room, The Tightrope Walker explores experiences of illness, grief and navigating the healthcare system, while also reflecting on care, resilience and community. Jenny Macdonald’s storytelling is interwoven with moments that invite audiences to reflect on their own experiences, creating a deeply personal yet ultimately uplifting theatrical experience. The production also featured a live soundscape by composer and designer Martha Knight, adding warmth, atmosphere and emotional depth to the work.
