PATRICK KAVANAGH FESTIVAL

For the 3rd year, SoFFt Productions co-produced, provided stage and lighting design and production managed the Kavanagh Weekend in Inniskeen, Monaghan. 

A festival celebrating the best in Irish literature, poetry, music and place. Over three days we delivered a rich programme that included concerts (with artists such as Cormac Begley and Sudden Wells), readings, poetry workshops, film screenings, panel discussions and the ever-moving Procession of Light with Armagh Rhymers. 

The Kavanagh Weekend creates a setting for artists and writers to engage with place, heritage and identity, making the festival not only a celebration of Kavanagh’s legacy but also a vibrant forum for current Irish culture. This sentiment rings true for SoFFt’s ongoing work.
