The work paid off: the show won Best Production at the Dublin Fringe Festival Awards, and earned a ★★★★★ review in The Irish Times for its “stirring, honest cabaret-theatre performance.”

The Complex

SoFFt Productions were delighted to produce spoken word, poet and artist Anna D’s theatrical debut Roots in Every Room as part of Dublin Fringe Festival.

It is a radical piece that situates itself at the intersection of spoken word, identity, history and spatial politics.

Roots in Every Room is a powerful poetic performance blending sound design, film, and spoken word. Inspired by a dream from Anna D.’s late grandmother, it explores intergenerational trauma, healing, womanhood, and the reclamation of ancestral power.
